The quaint harbor of Magnolia is one of the most picturesque places on the entire North Shore. This beautiful Gloucester beach is also a great place to create your family portrait. It’s very quiet and it offers a lot of variety in your portraiture. These are just a few of my favorites from last week.

Fathers play an essential role in their daughter’s lives. Many things are learned and many things are taught. Some of the most meaningful moments in a daughter’s life are spent with her father. Here are a few special moments for Derek and Camdyn at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

I created these family portraits at sunrise for the Bajoras Family at the beginning on the month. Their home is located on Bearskin Neck in the beautiful seaside village of Rockport, Masschusetts. What a location! Ocean views in both the font and back yard.

It has been a pleasure working with this wondful close-knit family which owns Village Silversmith.  Their business began with George Bajoras’ life-long interest in minerals. While in the military he was able to apprentice under master stone cutters of Idar-Oberstein, Germany, a skill that became a jewelry business once he started fashioning settings for the beautiful stones he was cutting. Thirty years of selling his jewelry throughout the Northeast lead to the opening of the first retail shop in picturesque Rockport, Massachusetts. When their son John joined the business full time, after graduating from college and studying silversmithing with a number of talented craftsmen, they added a second location at Dock Square in Rockport which is now managed by his sister Sara. As the business has grown, they have added two more retail stores, one on Bearskin Neck in Rockport, where their workshop is located, and the newest and largest store which is across the street from my studio on Main St. in Gloucester, MA.
