I met the nicest family last week at the Gloucester Waterfront Festival. They are here on vacation. What better way to bring home a little piece of Cape Ann than a family portrait? We always create our beach portraits within an hour of sunset or sunrise because the lighting is so beautiful and most people prefer sunset for… well…obvious reasons….it’s just so early! But sunrise is a magical time. It’s so quiet an peaceful. With schedules getting tight before their journey back home we were off to Wingaersheek beach at the crack of dawn.

When Herbert, Audrey and Clair came back to the studio to see their portraits, Clair presented me with her own form of artwork. We thought you might want to see it too. It’s a portrait of me.
It’s currently hanging on my bulletin board next to my desk, but I might even frame it.
I feel blessed to meet so many nice families. It’s one of the real joys in what we do. Thank you Clair!
